Job: Outside Sales Representative

Hours: 40 hours/week

Schedule: Monday Friday, schedule flexible

Pay: $800/week plus uncapped commission

Territory: Sarasota, FL to Naples, FL

The Outside Sales Representative sells Gulf Tile product line to contractors, builders, businesses, and industrial establishments directly to the customer at their place of business. In this role, you will maintain and develop established accounts, which may require calling on in-direct customers such as architects, designers, and specifiers. You will identify new business where none exists by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

• Travel throughout assigned territory to make sure Gulf Tile product line is current at all color selection rooms and is being specified by builders and designers.
• Update daily journey with relevant client information.
• Display or demonstrate products, using samples or catalog, and emphasize salable features.
• Communicate with customers regularly through personal visits and phone calls.
• Quote prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, builders, interior designers, architects, and builder associations. Networking is the key to success.
• Work in close cooperation with all branch personnel.
• Maintain an appointment schedule.

Qualifications:

• Professional demeanor and self-motivation with the ability to work independently.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and procedure manuals and write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must effectively speak before groups of customers and/or employees of the organization.
• Must have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, square feet etc... Basic algebra and geometry.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Willingness and ability to learn company-specific software for quoting, ordering and invoicing, and account/sales reporting.

Education and/or Experience:

3+ years of outside sales experience required, tile sales or industry experience preferred

College degree preferred
