Full description of the position

World Connection is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Business Development to join our team. As the Director of Business Development, you will be responsible for driving the growth and success of our company through strategic planning, market analysis, and effective sales strategies. This is a leadership role that requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in business development.

Expectation: Responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the business development process to drive revenue growth. Including potential opportunities, excellent relationship-building skills, ability to formulate and execute strategic plans.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning: develop and implement business development strategies aligned with the overall organizational goals, leading the strategy for acquiring new partnerships.

2. Build all stages of the sales process: based on best practices and company knowledge, including lead generation initiatives to acquire new Clients.

3. Maintain and improve Client relationships: cultivating strong relationships with existing clients and key stakeholders; acting as the primary point of contact for important clients and partners.

4. Create and execute plans to penetrate new markets and expand the company's presence.

5. Sales Support: build reporting tools for the organization on the sales pipeline advancements.

6. Budget Management and Sales Targets: develop and manage budget and yearly targets related to business development.

7. Team Leadership: build and lead a high-performing business development team. Providing guidance, mentorship, and support to new team members.

8. Shepherd all client wins: ensuring a smooth transition into Implementation and Operations, act as a steward for good business and grow the client relationship by ensuring flawless execution.

9. Define the Go to Market Strategy: how to identify and reach target customers; Account based marketing strategy

10. Establish Sales Process: Clear stages, entry and exit criteria, reflects both buyers and sellers journey, establish sales pipeline cadence, establish sales methodology.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to develop and conduct effective proposals and presentations with decision makers

Results oriented with the ability to meet/exceed department metrics.

Proven ability to initiate, develop and grow C-level and senior relationships within target client organizations, and influence purchase and buying decisions.

Knowledge of sales rep KPIs / conversion metrics

Ability to work independently and in a team.

RFP and RFI knowledge.

Must be able to travel 50% of the time.

Education and Experience:

Needed Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration or Marketing

At least seven (7) years experience leading consultative sales cycles to Enterprise and high growth companies and with BPO knowledge.

This is a work from home position that requires being in our Boise, Idaho office 2 weeks per quarter. You must also be able to travel to trade shows six times per year.
