Electrical Outside Sales Account Manager
New England Electrical Sales is seeking an organized go-getter with a positive can-do attitude to be a full-time Outside Salesperson. This position offers a competitive salary of $80,000-$125,000/year based on performance and prior experience. New England Electrical Sales. is an electrical equipment representative/distributor with a manufacturer-assigned territory of New England. We offer a full product line with pipe, wire, fittings, lighting, electric heat, snow melting, HVAC products, smoke/CO2 detectors and many other products that we sell to electrical and mechanical distributors and contractors. As an Outside Salesperson you use your excellent communication skills to visit with customers every day to maintain and develop customer relationships, show new products and manage the sales of our extensive product line. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Increasing business by generating sales to new customers and by selling additional products to existing customers focused on electrical contractors.
- Visiting customers every day with product samples and literature to educate our customers on our offering.
- Grow profitable market share by presenting value-added services. Keeps current with information on competitive products, customers machinery, processes and business objectives. Updates customers on new products and technologies as appropriate.
- Prospects for new accounts within a specified geographical territory.
- Pursues product applications utilizing personal knowledge, internal specialists or other internal resources, vendor representatives and other available sources.
- Establishes and maintains customer relationships. Learns and evaluates customer operations to aid in identifying customer objectives, requirements and preferences.
- Processes product quotations and provides continuous follow-up throughout the completion of the customer's purchasing cycle.
- Gathers and reports to management information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, products and current and future market trends as well as assists management and vendors in planning, tracking and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets.
- Achieves and maintains technical capabilities at required levels, attends customer seminars, schools and special promotions and participates in sales meetings, vendor seminars and training schools to enhance and maintain personal and product knowledge.
- Works with inside team to provide customer quotes and then leads the follow up process to ensure that Liberty wins the business.
Job Requirements
- 3 5 years sales experience in the construction or hardware industry. This includes home improvement stores as well as industry specific distribution.
- Track record of success in business-to-business sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills including the ability to convincingly persuade others.
- Ability to set goals clearly and effectively.
- Computer literacy
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and occasional overnight travel.
- In-office time will be generally limited to early-morning and late-afternoon, with the majority of time being out in the field performing direct selling activities in front of prospective customers.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years technical sales, proven outside sales experience with a tangible product OR 2+ yrs. customer service / inside sales experience with electrical or construction products.
TRAVEL
- Up to 80% of the workweek will be spent visiting current and prospective clients. Very limited overnight travel.
- Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record (MVR)

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
