Summary/Objective
The Government Account Manager is responsible for successfully finding and acquiring government contracts that are favorable to the company using various search methods to find opportunities and manage the contracts in such a way to maximize the Companys profitability.

Essential Functions

• Research Federal, State, and Local websites and other mediums where Government entities post RFQs
• Research various Military and civilian specifications and have a working knowledge of them so to provide direction as to how to execute
• Knowledge of legal terms and phrases, contract terms, and federal acquisition regulations
• Enter and track bids in government websites.
• Manage multi-location accounts where a headquarters or decision makers reside outside of our typical geographical sales coverage.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent

Experience working in related field

Preferred Education and Experience

College degree in related field

Previous experience in Chemical Sales

Previous experience working with government contracts
