Outside Sales Engineer for Mechanical HVAC
- Location: Bay Area. We are headquartered in Danville, our Outside Sales engineer will rarely need to come into the office.
- Salary: $80,000-90,000 base plus unlimited commission.
- Reporting to: CEO and Founder.

Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will be equal parts technical savvy, strategic planner, and relationship builder. Key responsibilities include:
- Plan, develop, and manage strategic sales plans for new and existing customers.
- Craft compelling statements about us and our products to engage customers.
- Meet frequently with customers through job site visits, office visits, and other interactions.
- Educate and market to customers continuously, including hosting presentations and leveraging vendor expertise.
- Follow up and close sales opportunities, maintaining an "Opportunities Log."
- Understand customer pain points and actively work to drive product prioritization.
- Build strong relationships with customers and vendors, resolving issues promptly.
- Learn how systems work and are applied to provide more value to your customers with your deep knowledge of all products we offer.
- Serve as the primary interface between Customer Service & Technical Support.
- Live and embody the company's mission: Provide a Higher Level of Service.
- Maintain high-integrity relationships with all our Vendors.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in building, scaling, and leading Complex HVAC Sales Opportunities.
- A record of at least $5 million dollars in sales a year.
- Engineering BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced training or degree highly desirable.
- Experience in Mechanical Construction (HVAC Sales Rep, Mechanical Contractor, or Engineering firm).
- Experience leading Project Engineers or industry experts.
- Exemplary work ethic and energized by performance-based compensation with unlimited earning potential.
- Highly effective long-term relationship builder.
- Strong coaching skills around value-based selling.
- Flawless presentation skills in person or remotely and skilled at running effective on-line meetings.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
