PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Reporting to Global Business Development Manager, the Inside Salesperson is charged with helping to grow sales of OE machinery for Mpac Switchback Americas.
In direct collaboration with sales, this position is responsible for researching, contacting, and developing prospective customers and agents to advance the overall sales effort of the Switchback sales team.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 3 - 5 years experience in inside sales or marketing field
- Outgoing, Friendly, Polite Personality in speaking with customers.
- Ability to develop and maintain a technical appreciation of products.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly customer focused
- Strong organizational ability, able to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent Computer Skills (Microsoft Office, CRM, etc.)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Most work is performed in an office environment with occasional trips to the assembly floor and the warehouse.
o Hearing acuity required for safety reasons while on the assembly floor
o exposure to high noise from machines operating nearby during visits to the assembly floor
- Most of work is done while sitting down
- Works with phone and on a computer for prolonged periods of time
WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT:
- This position is a position of trust and responsibility. Long working hours may be necessary on occasion in order to comply with deadlines (internal and external).
This position requires the employee to attend work properly groomed and dressed according to the position.
o 100% adherence to Mpac Langen dress code policy is mandatory.

HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
- One desktop computer, keyboard, 2 monitors, mouse, 3d mouse
- Relevant software includes Microsoft Office, Share file, Microsoft Dynamics

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Keep current with Customer trends and needs and identify potential new markets for product offerings.
Support the Applications Engineers as they require assistance on certain opportunities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research prospective customers in NAFTA.
- Identify and introduce via Email, Phone, Text, Social Media prospective customers to gain specific knowledge of customer products, processes, needs, and to gain names of possible contacts at those facilities.
- Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new account, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
- Identify and introduce new 3rd party agents, distributors, integrators, and consultants that can advance our sales efforts through their contacts.
- Develop working knowledge of product line to be able to discuss with potential clients.
- Assist the Global Business Development Manager and the sales team in identifying potential targets in each geographic region.
- Explores opportunities to add value to job and organization.
- Support outside selling activities.
- Understand customer decision making process and criteria.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely, professional manner.
- Provide input into and maintain databases (customer/market/competitor intelligence)
