Role Description: As a Technical Sales Engineer for CPS, you will play a vital role in our sales team. You will be responsible for leveraging your technical expertise and sales acumen to drive revenue growth and build lasting customer relationships. Your typical day will involve a combination of customer interactions, technical consultations, and sales-related activities. It is important to note that this role requires occasional presence on the plant floor, where personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel-toed boots, earplugs, and respirators must be worn. On the plant floor, you will be conducting trials, leading the breakdown and set-up of machines, training co-workers, and sampling end materials.
As a Technical Sales Engineer and a vital team member, your typical day might include:
- Conducting technical consultations with potential customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable solutions.
- Collaborating with the sales team to develop sales strategies and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Delivering product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients.
- Preparing and delivering technical proposals and quotations.
- Providing post-sales support and technical assistance to customers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
- Staying updated on industry trends and technological advancements to provide informed recommendations to customers.
We're looking for someone with:
- A strong technical background, preferably with a degree in engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in technical sales, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.

- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer interactions and track sales activities.
- Willingness to occasionally work on the plant floor, adhering to safety protocols and wearing necessary PPE.
