Product and Tooling Technologies is a growing supplier of engineering plastic parts to the automotive and non-automotive sectors. In this position of a Technical Sales Specialist, we are looking for someone who is interested in learning the technical side of PT Tech, make initial contact with a customer and work with our Account Managers to finalize the sale. This position will work with customers to find what they want, create solutions and ensure a smooth sales process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Plans, develops, and implements customer account and personal goals in support of company goals.
2. Directs and coordinates promotion of products manufactured, or services performed to develop new markets, increase market share, and obtain competitive position in the industry.
3. Manages distributor relationships; responds to technical/marketing questions; trains distributors in product features; prepares product catalogues capabilities presentations.
4. Generates and maintains sales documentation, within the internal process, (i.e., RFQs, job kick offs, key customer mapping, etc.).
5. Conducts research and proposes new products; for review and consideration.
6. Establishes and maintains a customer support system to ensure complete customer satisfaction; support system may include technical and phone support, documentation requests and urgent orders/request for quotations.
7. Continuous interdepartmental communication on account related to sales.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in a sales related field is required as well as marketing, distribution, and product line management. Prior experience within the industry is preferred. A High School Diploma is required, while advanced courses in in Marketing, Communication or closely related field is preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS

1. Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
3. Able to travel as needed.
