The Senior Advertising Account Manager is an integral role in our organization. Based in our Yakima office, target new business in the geographic region of Central Washington, from the Oregon border, north to Leavenworth, staying west of Richland. Secure new accounts through active prospecting, appointment setting and making professional presentations to acquire new accounts. Service and grow existing key client relationships.
Acquisition and Retention Responsibilities
Targeting larger businesses with 5- and 6-figured advertising potential, you will work to maintain our existing accounts in these categories, growing revenue with them where possible by augmenting the services they currently buy. Additionally, you will secure new accounts through active prospecting, appointment setting and making professional presentations.
You will emphasize digital advertising sales and sponsorships. Digital to include website impressions, premium digital network (PDN), email campaigns, OTT, SEO, SEM, Native Content.
Monitoring dormant accounts (90 days without advertising) and reactivating dormant accounts by making professional presentations by presenting our entire portfolio with an emphasis on digital. If you reactivate a smaller dormant account, maintenance will be passed to a non-senior AM and commissions will be double paid for the first 6 months.
Essential Job Functions

Utilize excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and especially in client presentations and reporting calls, and vendor negotiations.
Monitor dormant account list and personally reach out to reactivate dormant accounts.
Develop regular forecasting including proactive gap plans where necessary to ensure overall revenue budget achievement.
Participate in our maintenance of a positive, collaborative, energized atmosphere. Participate in group and individualized meetings as a subject matter expert to ensure the continuing education of all team members.
Sell comprehensive solutions using the depth and breadth of our solution suite. Carry an individual book of business of important accounts built on maintenance of existing accounts where profitable, supplemented by enough new accounts to exceed budgets.
Ensure rate integrity in all solutions.
Use a variety of tools to develop high-quality prospects to pursue, including the regular monitoring of competitive media.
Showcase moderate-to-advanced expertise in digital marketing solutions as well as website analytics and marketing tags as a local subject matter expert.
Demonstrate the ability to work from a hybrid environment, including the willingness to travel to prospects places of business. Commit to regular networking through membership in important community organizations and other periodic events thoughout the assigned region.
Assist with our suite of annual events to a joint outcome of profitability of the event and a heightened presence for the organization throughout the community.
Attend all sales and training meetings.
Concentrate on sales initiatives as directed.
Bilingual English/Spanish is a big plus.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Requirements
Reliable transportation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams.
Able to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
Experience
Candidate should have at least 5 years experience in a digital advertising consultative selling role, presenting solutions to business owners.
Skills and Abilities / Lifting Requirements (Maximum weight required)
This position requires a strong aptitude for learning and working with the Microsoft suite of products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. Good organizational skills, multi-tasking, and good understanding of the digital landscape as it relates to websites and the internet.
Minimum Education, certifications, or licenses
High school diploma with relevant experience.

Requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Attend weekly sales meetings, training, adhere to deadlines and meet revenue goals

Pay: $48,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
