Position Overview | Close Up is looking for a business development representative with a can-do mindset and a passion for creating new opportunities. This highly motivated individual will uncover new sales opportunities and form new partnerships primarily with schools and school districts. This person should be innovative and determined to create strategies that highlight Close Ups offerings to the right audience. The sales development representative will focus on customer acquisition, lead generation, and prospect management. They will research referral, network, and web leads, and provide prospective customers/clients with all services offered and additional presentations as needed. They will partner with clients to generate solutions for their civic education needs and consulting throughout the sales process. This person must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales that increase revenue.
Duties and Responsibilities
Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities in new and existing markets.
Coordinating business generation activities and developing customized targeted sales strategies.
Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support; answering potential client questions and follow-up call questions.
Collaborating internally to grow accounts.
Presenting and delivering information to potential customers at client meetings and parent and/or student presentations, virtually and in person.
Cold calling, creating email marketing campaigns to potential clients, and closing sales.
Meeting all benchmarks for cold/active, calls, appointments, and interviews.
Maintaining a pipeline of all sales administration using Microsoft Dynamics CRM software.
Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospective clients; maintaining the CRM of prospective client information.
Collaborating with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintaining short- and long-term business development plans.
Scheduling meetings with prospects to qualify the opportunities.
Collecting pertinent client information to provide the best offering.
Developing in-depth knowledge of Close Ups portfolio to advise clients accordingly.
Attracting new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business.

Requirements
Cold calling experience; previous experience in an outbound call center, inside sales, or related sales experience; knowledge of the sales process from initiation to close.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Dynamics, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM experience, preferred.
Bachelors degree from a four-year college or university or six years of experience in sales, education, or nonprofit work.
Excellent analytical and time-management skills.
Exceptional relationship-building skills, both internally and externally.
High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.
Willingness to travel for meetings, training, and conferences.
Authorization to work in the United States for any employer.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination as required by company policy.
