Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Coordinate with branch team members to oversee and complete all Access installation projects.
- Responsible for developing new referral sources and customers through professional presentation to local referral sources and medical personnel. Utilizes all appropriate, ethical, and legal avenues to create and maintain business. Completes proper home evaluations to ensure appropriate recommendations for equipment that will best serve the customer's specific need.
- Ensures home evaluations are completed and orders are entered in a timely manner and that all necessary client intake information is documented and forwarded to the appropriate branch administration.
- Assists in the timely completion of work orders which may involve but is not limited to research of components, calculation and extension of equipment prices, responding to requests for additional information and preparation of quotes for customers, referral sources and insurance companies. Provides follow-up on work orders to ensure timely receipt and delivery.
- Responsible for ensuring proper and timely delivery of equipment to customer.
- Ensures proper customer education occurs regarding equipment use, safety and financial considerations.
- Ensure that proper customers education occurs throughout the process and proper documentation and signatures are obtained.
- Coordinates with the Technician or Regional Processing Center, as necessary to prepare equipment for installation or repairs. Follows up, as necessary, to ensure client satisfaction.
- Maintains knowledge of products, services, techniques, and clinical skills necessary to complete responsibilities.
- Maintains knowledge and adheres to NSMs policies and procedures including Infection Control and Equipment Management policies.
- Provides support with quarterly physical inventory count as needed.
- Must maintain regular and predictable attendance.
Maintenance
- Install, restore, repair, maintain and set up NSM stairlifts, ceiling lifts, VPLs, ramps, and other accessibility products offered by NSM in clients home and/or facilities as per factory and clinical specifications.
- Perform maintenance of tools, shop supplies and other items necessary for the conduct of the service work.
- Set up and install out of store delivery of products at customers' homes and facilities.
Troubleshooting Repair
- Organize and identify parts for repairs and stock, optimizing parts levels and setting up parts in the information system.
- Trouble shoot faulty equipment for customers either over the phone or on-site at the clients' home.
- Fabricate and install customized components for customer equipment within the guidelines established for such work.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds.
Required Education, Experience and Competencies
- High School Diploma or equivalency certificate
- 3+ years of outside sales or direct to consumer sales experience
- Mechanically Inclined
