Peterson Cat has a need for a Sales Inventory & Logistics Supervisor who can be based at our Hillsboro, OR location.

SUMMARY

The Sales Inventory & Logistics Supervisor is a working supervisor position that performs normal Sales Coordinator duties as necessary while also overseeing the Sales Logistics team. This position is responsible for monitoring the movement of inventory on-hand, overseeing physical inventory counts of machines and attachments, managing the Sales Logistics teams workflow, distributing work to the Sales Logistics team, monitoring Sales Coordinator metrics, ensuring attachment stock and Rental stock quantities are sufficient at branch locations to meet customer demands and Petersons inventory turns goals, and monitoring and disposing of aged and/or obsolete attachments.

• Perform all duties of a Sales Coordinator while also ensuring direct reports fulfill their daily duties.
• Supervise, mentor, and support Sales Logistics team as primary point of support and coordinate for coverage when team members are out of the office.
• Generate Equipment Reservation and Demo/No Charge Reports and send to Sales Coordinator team twice a month for updating. Ensure updated notes are captured twice a month.
• Update and maintain instructional guides and metrics for regular Sales Coordinator duties.
• Ensure the Sales Logistics team uses approved haulers.
• Ensure Prop 65 warning labels are applied per policy at California stores.
• Monitor SharePoint requests and ensure timely responses by Sales Coordinator team for demo and shipping requests.
• Work with Sales Coordinators to clear outstanding freight set-asides.
• Work with Asset Management team members to ensure regional locations are adhering to shipping and receiving policies.
• Coordinate and monitor shipping/receiving of equipment and attachments.
• Act as primary interface with the Service Department regarding machine pre-delivery, customization, and final configuration.
• Be primary Retail Presence point of contact for Sales Coordinator team, ensuring machines and attachments are transferred to appropriate stores and aligning on-hand inventory with our Retail Presence initiative and aged inventory plans.
• Serve as a subject matter expert to sales representatives on attachment questions and inquiries, order one-off, and non-CAT attachments for specific deals.
• Monitor aged attachment inventory to help meet inventory turns goals while also minimizing financial losses and make recommendations on disposal of aged and obsolete attachments.
• Maintain attachment data integrity in Petersons business system(s).
• Review and Approve Machine take off submittals (Corner Cuts)
• Order new Caterpillar attachments for stock in Earthmoving and Rental Stores to meet customer demand while maximizing inventory turns
• Order new attachments for machines, working closely with appropriate departments to ensure the correct attachments are being ordered for the machines on hand and on order, attachment orders for Rental Fleets are timed to arrive upon arrival of corresponding machine, and correct attachments are ordered to meet Retail Presence goals.
• Manage the physical inventory iRents process, working with the designated iRents people at each location to scan new, used, and rental inventory for Earthmoving and Power divisions
• Reconcile inventory counts, follow up on missing/misplaced units, make write-off recommendations to Sales Ops Management, and work to improve the inventory counting process to ensure all inventory is accounted for and keep write-offs to a minimum
• Code and Approve Freight Invoices for vendor payment to ensure hauling charges correlate with current rates
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Travel at least monthly to San Leandro or Hillsboro to work with direct reports in-person and participate in Sales departmental meetings.
• Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate Degree a fully accredited college in Business Administration other closely related field; and a minimum of three (3) years of directly related experience in sales inventory and/or sales logistics, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Maintain a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,000.00 - $76,000.00 per year
