POSITION SUMMARY: The Account Specialist is primarily responsible for the following:
- Serves customers by identifying their needs, assisting with product pricing, material selection and delivery scheduling to produce quality parts and material.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Prepares cost estimates by reviewing blueprints and related customer documents.
- Gains customer satisfaction by ensuring that products meet the customers expectations.
- Services accounts by calling on existing customers, following up on quotes, obtaining orders and answering technical questions related to products and materials.
- Contributes to sales growth by building strong business relationships with existing customers.
- Acts as a liaison between the customer and the Quality Engineering Department to resolve complaints.
- Provides pricing and delivery information to customers by collaborating with Production, Estimating and Quality Department team members.
- Establishes an agreeable lead-time expectation with production control team and takes appropriate actions to maintain the expectation (issues purchase requisitions or orders).
- Acts as a coordinator in collaborative engineering between the customer and EPTAM. Including, but not limited to, the ability to coordinate, schedule and facilitate conference calls and webinars.
- Proper handling of all material and parts to prevent damage and loss of finished product.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- EDUCATION: Associate degree in a relevant discipline
- EXPERIENCE: And/or five+ years experience in a Sales, Account Management or Customer Service role.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Background in manufacturing environment with an understanding of plastics and/or machining (Preferred, but not required).
- Able to learn and adapt to new technology relating to office practices and procedures; pay attention to detail and work effectively despite interruptions.
- Able to perform assigned duties with a minimum of supervision, as well as identify problems and implement or recommend solutions.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Experience in reading and interpreting blueprints (Preferred, but not required).
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills with our internal and external customer base.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Proficient in navigating customer portals, as required.
