Vaco is currently hiring Transportation Carrier Sales Reps located in Jacksonville, FL. This role does sit on site and will work between the hours of 7AM-5PM

PURPOSE OF POSITION:
This position is directly responsible for connecting shippers who need to move their goods with the carriers who have the capacity to haul those goods.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Build carrier relationships to leverage best possible rate and service to customers.
• Negotiate costs and accessory charges.
• Find and vet carriers to add to our network and perform initial setup in the system.
• Help carriers stay well-booked by coordinating and selling loads that work into their schedule to help minimize empty miles.
• Meet daily call metrics goals as required by management.
• Maintain constant communication with carrier and driver before, during, and after pick-up through delivery.
• Provide initial dispatch information to drivers.
• Resolve any issues that arise during transit.
• Report information directly to operations managers, account managers, dispatchers, and billing team.
• Assist billing team with obtaining proof of delivery.
• Provide prompt, detailed and accurate flow of all required paperwork.
• Perform additional duties which may be required by Team Lead.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience within Freight Broker experience, doing carrier sales / procurement.
• Enthusiasm, high energy, and a willingness to learn is essential.
• Bilingual/multilingual is a plus but is not required.
• This position is paid a base salary plus commission on any loads they sell. Therefore, a high degree of professionalism, self-motivation, and good time management skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as flexibility and an ability to multitask are required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
