Kaplans Furniture is looking for a sales manager to oversees the sales operation & drives growth in our Elyria store. We are seeking an exceptional customer service focused showroom floor manager with experience leading an enthusiastic sales team, achieving sales growth goals and to build long-term customer relationships that will lead to increased sales and profitability along with outstanding shopping experience.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

• Proven ability to meet monthly/quarterly forecasts for both sales volume and profit
• Strong Leadership & Communication skills
• Experience managing the sales team and all day-to-day sales activities
• Experience in Retail Furniture Sales
• Accountable for all customer interactions and problem resolution
• Strong track record developing and retaining the best staff expertise possible
• Assuring development of our client base and daily sales and client development reporting.
• Ability to create and organize all sales activities
• Provide a clean, neat and organized shopping environment for our customers.
• Build a loyal client base, demonstrating product knowledge and educating customers
• Work the sales floor demonstrating outstanding sale skills and an award winning customer service

Desired Skills and Experience for Retail Sales Manager:

• 5-7 years related experience in retail sales management in consumer products industry preferably in furniture, bedding
• 3+ years of sales management experience
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
• Strong business planning and sales analysis skills
• 3+ years in Business Development, with a strong track record of sales growth
• Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated -
• Must possess outstanding verbal, written and customer service skills
• Must be proficient at operating a personal computer
• Must possess a great attitude with high-energy personality, a professional appearance and an inspirational work ethic.
• Interpersonal & Negotiation skills
• Staying current with market trends

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
