Job Description

Overview:

Come join the fastest growing Center of the Plate Food Service Company in the Tri-State area. Vrola Meat and Tidal Seafood have a rich heritage of serving the Culinary and Retail Community for over 75 years. The objective of the Outside Sales position is to develop and manage new and established customers by selling the finest meat and freshest seafood to achieve sales and profitability goals. We are looking for talented, goal-oriented individuals to join our team

Position Summary:

This is an outside sales position responsible for promoting all the companys products and building a strong relationship with new and established customers. The focus is to help Vrola / Tidal in achieving our sales and profit goals set forth by the company.

Responsibilities:

Develop new business, penetrate existing customer, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable sales and growth.

Seek and qualify prospective customers in accordance with the Companys account goals.

Research customer business needs and develop a list of meat and seafood product needs.

Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers, based on the needs and goals of the business.

Be informed of the current market conditions, product innovations, and competitors products, prices, and sales: share information with customers as part of the value-added services provide by the company.

Essential Job Duties:

Process customer orders daily.

Manage deliveries to the routing schedule; troubleshoot any problems that may occur during the order process (e.g. delivery, mis picks, shorts, on loads, stock-outs)

Communicate and collect accounts receivables as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms. .

Participate in company functions, promotions, customer visits, and customer events. Attend and participate in company sales meeting.

Review and analyze daily and weekly reports such as special orders requests, customer bid fields, and sales/gross profit margin data.

Other duties as suggested.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as customer service and presentation abilities.

Problem solving ability and negotiation skills.

Motor Vehicle Record in good standing.

Maintain automobile insurance.

Ability to read, write and speak English.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality: or Culinary Arts.

1 year of outside meat and seafood sales experience.

Restaurant Management and or Chef Experience.
