The Technology Sales Specialist (TSS) should possess a combination of business, sales and technical background to strategically engage public sector clients in the MD and VA region. Duties & Responsibilities:
As a TSS, you will represent a portfolio of cloud and on-premise technology products, services, and related solutions. You will help drive our clients digital transformation through meaningful engagement with IT leaders, business personnel, architects, and different lines of business managers.
Prospect and meet with customers in the state, local government and education (SLED) space.
Learn and understand customers needs and requirements.
Generate opportunities based on Dalys wide range of solutions and offerings.
Where applicable, create and articulate compelling value propositions around cloud services, including AWS and Azure, as well as on-premise technology solutions such as data center, networking, cybersecurity, etc.
Accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful go-to-market strategy to achieve customer outcomes.
Build relationships and develop trust with clients.
Work with management to develop and execute a plan to grow market share.
Prospect and develop new leads and opportunities.
Maintain a robust sales pipeline.
Drive revenue and increase market share.
Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets.
Work with engineers, solution architects and vendor partners where applicable.
Ensure customer satisfaction.
Deliver engaging, articulate sales presentations in person and over the phone.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Experience in the state, local government and education (SLED) space.
Experience selling technologies and solutions as well as related services.
Experience and understanding of data center, networking and cybersecurity.
Experience in the federal space is not a pre-requisite, but is a plus.
Must have the ability to understand procurement requirements and contract vehicles, and be able to present relevant information to customers at all levels.
Must have the technical acumen to understand requirements and objections.
The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers, vendors and team members.
Strong communication (verbal and written), organization, and time management skills.
Self-driven, motivated and results-oriented.
Able to work independently, as well as contribute to a team.
High level of accountability; willing to take ownership and solve problems.
Must be able to adhere to strict key performance indicators (KPIs) and be able to multi-task effectively.
Minimum Qualifications:
Five years of technology sales experience and or business development.
BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
A wide range of technology certifications.
AWS and Microsoft certification(s) preferred.
Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,727.34 - $49,047.97 per year
