What You Will Do
The Service Representative is critical to the overall growth and profitability of the business! The chosen candidate will be responsible for initiating, establishing, and building profitable service relationships between Vertix leadership, existing and new customers. The salesperson will work within an assigned geographic territory, working as part of a local plant and teaming with sales and operations professionals within the plant. Uses sales tools to plan and document sales progress as well as increase business opportunity in current accounts. Expected to obtain and close business on a monthly basis.

Job Description

• Follows a disciplined and professional process to identify, target, and qualify prospective new post-consumer resin (PCR) customers.
• Increases Vertix sales revenue through establishment of new customers and markets, by building relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Team player with a positive and cooperative attitude in a highly cross-functional organization. This position has a key role with coordinating new business between customers and Vertix internal team (management, purchasing, engineering, and quality).
• Use market research to identify and develop prospective customers in current and new markets.
• Results oriented individual that maintains a list of prospective customers categorized by region, market, service needs, requirements for engagement, and potential annual revenue.

Qualifications and Skills:

• 5+ years sales experience minimum
• Strong business relationships and industry contacts within the plastics industry and proven ability to work independently.
• Knowledge of plastic materials, packaging components and/or manufacturing processes is required for this position. Specifically, high density polyethylene (HDPE), polypropylene (PP), and/or post-consumer resin (PCR) plastic sales preferred.
• Self-Starter highly motivated with entrepreneurial approach to sales with a proven sales track record of 10%+ continuous annual sales growth rates
• Enviable presentation skills complete with the ability to captivate in both individual and group communications. Should have working knowledge of Sales Force, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Power Point applications.
• Exposure to sales and marketing methodologies, standards, and disciplines expected.
• Travel required for position.
• Bachelors degree is preferred, but not required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,718.27 - $92,391.90 per year
