Title: On Premise Wine Specialist
Reports to: Director of Sales Wine Division, On-Premise Division and OnPrem Wine Manager
Location: Nashville
About the Role: Overlay wine sales professional focused on key On-Premise wine accounts in order to increase BBI share of mind in the Nashville wine community. Act as liaison between our Winery and Supplier partners and the On-Premise sales team. Be the go-to person for wine sales and education within the Best Brands On-Premise organization. Strive for complete satisfaction with suppliers, bar and restaurant customers, and wine drinkers alike.
Plan & Prepare
Key Responsibilities:
- Present new brands and be the support/wine-go-to person for a set list of wine-centric On-Premise accounts.
- Coordinate and schedule BBI on premise sales rep ride-withs with On-Premise Management, minimum of 6 per month.
- Work with On-Premise managers to schedule, coordinate and manage Supplier work-withs with general sales reps as needed (i.e new brand launches, supplier market visits)
- Prepare weekly pre-plan and targeted sales and new distribution objectives. Provide weekly recap of achievements and follow-up needed to On-Premise DM and Director of Sales Wine Division.
- Assist Director of Sales and Brand Managers with new brand launches, and existing brand supplier ride-withs and program/promotion execution in the market
- Continually communicate wine inventory challenges and opportunities to On-Premise sales team
- Assist in the planning and preparation of successful launches with new suppliers and the On-Premise general sales team.
- Have current industry knowledge and understanding of current on-premise market trends in order to better present opportunities to assigned accounts and suppliers.
- Assist on-premise general sales team in putting together presentations and product samplings for new on-premise accounts.
- Understand sales objectives and company/supplier goals - attend all required manager meetings, sales meetings, and company/applicable supplier functions, including any sales training and wine education.
Execute
- Meet with each assigned overlay account, in person, based on frequency assigned by On Premise DM and Director of Sales Wine Division.
- Manage current and potential Supplier relationships and brand execution to the fullest, to ensure supplier satisfaction in the on-premise channel.
- Assist in setting up and participate in sales representatives promotions and supplier special events.
- Execute assigned monthly on-premise goals.
- Meet or exceed number of promotions, placements or feature objectives on a monthly basis within assigned accounts.
- Brand Building Promotions: Ability to arrange, promote and execute On Premise promotions, features and other activities during customers regular business hours. Communicate and cooperate with on premise management and/or supplier responsible for executing programs at your assigned accounts held after hours, on weekends or holidays.
- Attend, assist, and participate in all weekly sales meetings and sales trainings/wine education.
- Manage expenses and company spends affectively. Submit accurate expense reports on a monthly basis in accordance with company guidelines.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned/requested by the Sr. Management team.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant sales and/or relevant field experience
- Minimum 2 years restaurant experience preferred
- Ability to work Monday thru Friday business hours, and flexibility to work nights and weekends
- Maintain appropriate dress and personal appearance standards.
