Full description of the position

EAI Security Systems is a full-service security systems integrator. We work with many commercial and government customers to provide a wide range of electronic security solutions. Most of our work is located in MD, VA, and DC. We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented electronic security systems (sales / estimator). The estimator will estimate Access Control, CCTV, Alarms, intercoms, and other various types of low voltage projects. The estimator will also work with project managers to ensure that the projects are being installed according to specifications and design intentions. Candidates must be team players who enjoy working with others.

Responsibilities:

• Create professional proposals to include scope of work and pricing
• Use computer assisted drafting programs to create drawings for fire alarms, security systems, access control, CCTV and more
• Work closely with Project Managers and Customers during the design and installation phases
• Analyze bid documents and technical scopes of work and create detailed proposals, accurate drawing packages that meet the expectations of our customers
• Maintain knowledge of and follow building codes and other industry required standards
• Perform site surveys and attend meetings to obtain necessary information to formulate design/scope for project estimates

Required Skills and Experience:

• Must have excellent communication skills
• Ability to layout and design projects on floor plans as well as provide wiring and riser diagrams using AutoCAD, and other design software
• Working knowledge of low voltage hardware and devices (installation experience a plus)
• Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• High attention to detail
• Possess strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage tasks associated with development of projects
• Good understanding of network protocols
• Work effectively in a team setting
• Good driving record
• Ability to pass a thorough background test
