Full description of the position

Sales Specialist Job Description

As a Sales Specialist at Rock Paper Simple, your main role is to find potential customers for our products/services. This involves researching and identifying leads, making cold calls, and sending outreach emails. You'll need to understand our offerings well, to assist in explaining them to potential clients and answering questions they may have. Meeting quotas and collaborating with the sales team are crucial to your success. Good communication skills and persistence are key in this role.


Base Pay + Commission + Potential For Year End Bonus


Responsibilities

OWN IT

  • Lead and own prospecting activities including but not limited to emails, calls, and newsletters.
  • Use and manage Zoominfo to create prospecting lists.
  • Own CRM (ActiveCampaign) Entries & Data Quality Control.
  • Schedule right fit conversation meetings by responding to inbound leads from our website, Facebook messenger, sales calls, etc.
  • Create draft work orders and proposals.

TEAM FIRST

  • Occasionally attend networking events with Sales and Account Management Team Members,
  • Prepare Meeting Space For Sales Meetings.
  • Owns sales handoff process to the rest of the team.
  • Seeking and helping respond to RFP opportunities.
  • Assist in answering inbound calls. (shared responsibility with Admin Assistant).

CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVING

  • Seek ways to enhance your skills, adapting to market changes, and staying ahead in the prospecting game.
  • Review and analyze potential clients' websites, brand assets and marketing efforts to determine areas that can or need to be improved, replaced, or revised, pitch ideas to the Sales Director.
  • Solve problems that help the company grow and improveand help the team better collaborate and communicate.

DO THE RIGHT THING

  • Greet Visitors and Prospects, Making Prospects Feel Welcomed, Give Tours of the office.
  • Show passion and genuine caring for our clients, their business, and improving their revenue and profitability through marketing efforts.

Skills And Qualifications

  • College degree; sales background required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong references and proven sales track record.
  • Ability to receive sales rejection and constructive criticism in a positive manner.
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Working knowledge of office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, etc.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word, in particular) and Google Suite.
  • Healthy approach to resolving stress and/or conflict.
  • Ability to adapt during unexpected situations.

Benefits


(Compensation): The offered position is salary base pay + commissions, with two pay periods per month. This is a exempt salary position. Career planning meetings will provide a path of advancement with time.


(Office Hours): The minimum hours you will be expected to be in the office are Monday Friday, 9:00 AM 5:00 PM with availability outside of those hours to ensure time-sensitive clients are taken care of and networking events are attended.


(Work From Home Days): Work from home days are allowed to be taken 4 days a month upon approval.


(Vacations): 13 days of paid time off will be provided each year (awarded after 90 days with the company). Opportunities to earn additional days with tenure are available. The position also includes 11 paid holidays.


(Compensations and Benefits): Your Position Compensations and Benefits are: Disability, Dental, Vision, Redirect Health Primary Care Coverage, and an IRA plan with up to 3% salary match (available after 90 days).


(Professional Development): Rock Paper Simple provides continuing professional development through online courses, events, consultants and other opportunities to allow each of our team members to grow. Paid subscriptions to digital learning opportunities are available immediately with additional and more specific opportunities available upon request and as they arise.


(Expectations): Based on your interviews and the skill sets that have been presented, RPS expects you to be bringing the skill sets and experiences discussed. While we know there is always a learning curve to a new position, our expectation is set that you will be able to begin contributing quickly once up to speed.

We are crazy obsessed with anything orange, Star Wars, coffee, Brevard County, and anything marketing-related.
