Primary Function
The Area Sales Manager will directly manage existing and new accounts as well as existing and future Sales Account Executives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. The successful candidate will be experienced in selling into the national and regional builders organization at every level of the enterprise. Exceptional candidates will have a strong understanding of the residential and commercial construction industry. This is a quota-carrying role directly responsible for generating revenue and growing margins.
This is an exempt position that reports to the Regional Sales Director.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all sales and revenue generation in specific region, achieving sales goals gathering research about the market to obtain goals.
- Implement, and execute productivity targets and quotas to align with overall revenue goals, achieving quarterly and annual goals.
- Achieve a sales funnel with the ability to forecast and measure performance from lead generation through to close.
- Day-to-day management of the portfolio of accounts assigned. Ability to continuously educate and consult with each level of the builders organization.
- Drive the sales cycle: effectively conduct needs analysis, succinctly communicate Quality Built LLCs vision in the market.
- Business Acumen. Understand our customers overall business drivers and influences, and how to position the company to ensure a successful sales and implementation of our service.
- Work closely with other functional areas to drive demand generation, build sales pipeline, renew, and expand existing accounts, and develop a system to target key accounts and contacts.
- Directly participate or coordinate support in closing deals with target accounts which includes new and existing business and drive business initiatives for future success.
- Identify and distill feedback from the market and communicate that intel to executive and technology teams.
- Nurture customers to establish long-term relationships and optimize sales potential.
- Represent the company in various conferences, trade shows, and networking events to attract more and more clients.
- Continually work to secure new customers and growing revenue from the client side.
- Accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue numbers based on expertise in qualification and sales process review.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, partners, and competitors; develop proactive strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
- Recommend ways to improve processes or sales potentials to management team.
- Ensure delivery targets are met and perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in related field and/or 5+ years in sales and growth in a fast-paced B2B environment.
- Proven success of generating strong revenue and profit growth
- Experience in General Construction.
- Extensive experience selling professional services.
- Strong CRM skills; tech savvy.
- Ability to work in a high stress, high productivity and rapidly changing environment.
- Good organizational abilities, oral communications and interpersonal skills are needed.
- Ability to operate and communicate effectively while under pressure is essential.
- Work seamlessly with others both internally and externally to achieve the overall corporate goals as required.
Machines, Tools, and Equipment
Computer software knowledge: use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, and Outlook. Standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements
Sitting, standing and walking in an office setting. Lifting up to 30 pounds may be required. Assistance may be requested for lifting more than 35 pounds.
Standard Work Hours
Normal business hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm). This position may require more than 40 hours per week including evenings and weekends. Some work will be performed via telecommunications from home. Travel may be required. Vehicle travel on behalf of the company requires possession of a valid drivers license, clean driving record and adequate auto insurance that meets the companys compliance minimums.
