Full description of the position

We are a retail Wine & Spirits business in the heart of Silicon Valley / Mid Peninsula with growing on-line and in-store business models. We have a 14-year operating history and a 50,000+ local/national customer base. We are looking for a friendly, outgoing staff member that is passionate about premium wines, spirits, and modern approaches to servicing an international, educated, supportive customer.

Sales Associates primary responsibilities are to deliver a fast and friendly customer experience whether in person, on the phone, or on-line while ensuring that all transactions are accurate and error free.

Sales associates focus on Front Office responsibilities individually or in conjunction with team members.

- Meeting, greeting customers quickly & establishing rapport

- For new customers give a tour of the store, and Introduce Artisan products and services

- Establish what the customers wine and spirits needs and interests are and assist with any questions while building credibility

- Help select specific Wines and Spirits for purchase

- Ring up customers in store or help customers with on-line purchases

- Fulfill orders via in store pickup, or via delivery or national shipping

Sales Associates Back Office responsibilities individually or in conjunction with team members focus on fulfillment

Pulling existing orders and assembling for in store pickup

Arranging for local delivery or national shipping with other staff

Product stocking, on shelf product pricing, presentation, etc.

Executing sales campaigns, telesales activities,etc.

Receiving incoming goods and internal movements

Other requirements / responsibilities include:

Sales associate is a part-time or full-time position

1 weekend day availability is mandatory

Be able to carry a case of wine (~50 lbs)

Become familiar with and develop/maintain knowledge of product offerings and daily email specials

Answer phone calls and direct or respond to customer queries as appropriate

Process in-store sales and phone orders

Develop and maintain proficiency in using an e-commerce software, phone systems, messaging apps, etc.

Ensure the front office sales floor and back offices, storage locations are clean and organized

Be skilled in using Word, Excel and other necessary software programs

Knowledgeable about wine and spirits is preferred but on-going training is provided to develop Wine Professional Skills

Be organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently

Job Types: Part-time, Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
