We are seeking a versatile, dedicated and experienced Sales Specialist to drive our sales efforts in government contracting for private security, firearms, and our custom embroidery business. This multi-faceted role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in sales, an understanding of government contracts, an interest in the custom embroidery market, and military experience.
```Duties```
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets.
-Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, including private individuals, businesses, law enforcement agencies, and private security firms.
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to clients, both in-person and virtually.
- Identify and pursue government contracting opportunities relevant to firearms and tactical gear.
- Prepare and submit bids for government contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal and procedural requirements.
- Manage contract negotiations, ensuring favorable terms for the company.
- Oversee the fulfillment of government contracts, coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
-Consult with clients to understand their custom embroidery needs and provide solutions.
-Coordinate with the design and production teams to ensure client requirements are accurately translated into the final product.
-Manage the entire sales process for custom embroidery orders, from initial inquiry to delivery.
-Conduct market research to identify trends, new markets, and customer needs.
-Develop and implement sales strategies for different product lines and market segments.
-Stay informed about industry developments, competitor activities, and new product offerings.
-Represent the company at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
-Network with potential clients and industry professionals to generate leads and expand the customer base.
-Organize and participate in promotional events and sales campaigns.
-Ensure all sales activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, particularly regarding firearms sales. Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that impact the business.
-Maintain accurate records of sales, client interactions, and government contract details.
-Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market analysis, and business development activities.
-Manage client databases and utilize CRM software for tracking sales and customer interactions.
-Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, product development, and production, to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
-Provide feedback from clients to aid in product development and service improvement.
-Stay current with product knowledge, sales techniques, and industry best practices.
-Participate in training programs and seek professional development opportunities.
-Address and resolve customer concerns and issues promptly and professionally.
-Provide expert advice and support to clients regarding product selection, usage, and maintenance.
```Responsibilities```
- Lead sales activities for firearms, government contracting, and custom embroidery services.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with a diverse range of clients, including government agencies, private security firms, and commercial customers.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process for custom embroidery services, from client consultation to final delivery.
- Coordinate with the embroidery design and production team to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Attend trade shows and events, representing both the firearms and custom embroidery sectors of the business.
- Achieve sales targets across all areas of responsibility.
- Provide expert advice and product knowledge to customers.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations for firearms sales.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to promote growth in all business areas.
```Requirements```
- Military veteran status is strongly preferred.
- Proven sales experience, ideally in firearms, government contracting, and/or custom embroidery.
- Knowledge of the custom embroidery market and products a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
- Proficiency in CRM software, MS Office, and sales management tools.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- Must pass a drug test and background investigation.
The position starts out as commission based for a trial probation period with growth to salary + commission structure with bonues, as well as benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
