Helly Hansen Newport is currently seeking Part Time/Full Time Sales Associates and Key Holders in our Newport store with room for advancement. Position Overview: The Keyholder must bring a positive presence and create a collaborative work environment on the sales floor, providing excellent service to meet and exceed store financial goals. The Keyholder will assume the role of Manager on Duty as needed. The Key Holder is responsible for operational task follow through, opening/closing, banking, and security of the store. A full-time Key Holder helps drive the business through leadership and is actively involved in ensuring a differentiated customer experience. The Key Holder should be assertive, analytical, and trustworthy as a leader of a multi-million-dollar business. The Keyholder will utilize applied learning to evolve as a business leader and improve store results. The Key Holder leads a team of associates to ensure operational tasks and procedures are successful while keeping the customer of the highest priority.
Job Requirements
- Provide the full Helly Hansen customer service experience, delivering sales to meet or exceed targets.
- Demonstrate professionalism and poise while representing the Helly Hansen Newport brand.
- Support promotions, events and launches to deliver the intended experience for customers.
- Completes opening and closing responsibilities accurately and efficiently and ensures cash handling standards are met and company funds are secured.
- Assists in execution of visual displays, merchandising and marketing standards ensuring the store is consistently replenished.
- Assists in the preparation and completion of accurate physical inventory as assigned.
- Fulfill Manager on Duty responsibilities, including all opening and closing responsibilities, banking responsibilities, managing down time to be productive, maintaining cleanliness standards and always ensuring customer service standards are met and prioritized and the sales floor is a welcoming environment.
- Identifies potential loss prevention issues.
- Ensure that all associates are trained in salesmanship, product knowledge and customer service.
- Develop and sustain knowledge of trends in the industry.
- Act as a coach and resource to each store employee to help inspire the success of the store, including assisting cashiers with the POS system answering questions and resolving issues.
- Act with professionalism and respect in all interactions with customers, co-workers, Manager, and business associates.
- Assists with non-sell tasks as assigned by Management and as part of the daily responsibilities.

Flexible schedule required.
Ability to follow safety and emergency procedures.
Extremely punctual and reliable.
Accurately use POS and can assist cashiers as needed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven time management skills.
Ability to execute all operational processes effectively and efficiently and partner with leadership on operational matters.
Proactive in selling merchandise.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
Must be able to remain stationary on hard surface for 8 or more hours a day.
Regularly required to sit, reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another.
Required to push, pull, bend, lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
