Full description of the position

SUMMARY: The Sales Executive drives revenue to achieve Auric Roads topline goals for each of their represented petite resorts by proactively soliciting all business segments; to include new business from small business accounts, sourcing new accounts, identifying new targets, and re-soliciting past business leads Be an ambassador for the Auric Road collection of petite resorts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures effective and efficient funnel management through available systems and collaborating with Multi-Hotel Sales

Management of sales team of 3 to 5 team members.

Manages daily Status Change reports to help close on hotel business.

Solicits new business from non-deployed small business accounts, reader boards, and leads sent through internal referral mechanisms.

Solicits potential new accounts or business opportunities by leveraging business intelligence provided by Sales & Marketing Planning and Support or other third-party data sources to generate leads.

Must attend U.S. and international trade shows as applicable.

Utilizes internal lead referral tools to solicit new business opportunities and contacts.

Re-solicits non-deployed realized opportunities, including turndowns, lost opportunities, and actualized business when appropriate.

Drives customer satisfaction through daily interactions (e.g., solicitations, re-solicitations, account calls, site inspections, new business calls, face to face activities, etc.)

Conducts customer facing sales activities on behalf of the hotels in partnership with Property Coordinator/Resource as appropriate (e.g., lunch and learns, social hours, company of the month activities, local industry events, Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB)

Conducts site inspections for customer accounts as appropriate.

Maintains complete and up-to-date lead information on each account to verify accurate reporting and customer base information.

Presents stakeholder hotel benefits and features based on customer needs.

Understands the overall market (e.g., competitors strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.) to sell effectively against the competition.

Understands and utilizes all business processes written in support of the sales organization.

Utilizes negotiation skills and creative selling abilities to uncover new business.

Qualifies and maintains customers long-term business potential and refers customers to properties as required.

Understands and actively utilizes company marketing initiatives/incentives to convert cold leads to warm leads.

Tracks weekly activities and relationship to revenue and room night production.

Sets day-today priorities to complete assigned responsibilities.

Actively participates and contributes to Sales Strategy Meetings as appropriate.

Performs other duties as appropriate.

Building Successful Relationships

Leverage deployed account resources to drive business for properties for identified hotels to pull-through business to grow account share.

Participates in community and hotel networking events (e.g., Rotary Clubs, RI Social Hours, Chamber of Commerce, etc)

Visits neighborhood target and local small business accounts and coordinate follow up efforts.

Coordinates with Property Sales Leader to understand needs and priorities of stakeholder hotels to identify focus areas.

Handles customer care issues and as necessary, refers them to the appropriate owner.

Supports the companys service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

Services customers to obtain and grow share of the account.

Executes and supports the companys customer service standards.

Engages in property related events that support the development of new accounts (e.g., General Manager (GM) Reception, Concierge Level hospitality, etc.)

Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.

Ensure full compliance to Companys operating controls, SOPs, policies, procedures, and service standards.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least 5 years experience as a Sales Manager in the hotel industry

High school diploma or GED; 5 years experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or related professional area

2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major.

Requires an occupationally significant combination of vocational education, apprentice training, on-the-job training, and essential experience in less responsible hotel skill level and management positions.

Requires the willingness and ability to travel to attend trade shows, sales events and networking.

History of exceeding production goal year after year

Proven track record in group sales and market development

Strong closing skills

Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills

Ability to develop strategic sales plans with measurable results.

Execute compelling site inspections that lead to impressive closing ratios.

Creativity in sales proposals to advance business opportunities.

Experience in working with highly experienced Global Sales Office

Ability to create and deliver impactful presentations.

A command and mastery of Delphi Salesforce

Must have outstanding selling skills.

SKILLS/CORE CAPABILITIES:

Ability to read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals, newspapers, periodicals, journals, and manuals.

Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, business letters, summaries, and reports in English using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.

Ability to speak effectively in English before groups such as customers or employees.

A strong understanding of P&L statements and the ability to react with impactful strategies.

Sufficient computer skills that will allow them to be able to use, in a proficient manner, all Company-issued software programs implemented at the hotel, including but not limited to the following: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Yield Management Systems programs, Property Management System (PMS) programs, Daily Revenue System (DRS) programs, Central Reservation System programs, Payroll programs, Company-issued internet browser programs and Company-issued electronic mail programs

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Mathematical skills to interpret financial information and prepare budgets.

Ability to read and interpret business records and statistical reports.

Ability to make business decisions based on production reports and similar facts, personal experience, and opinions, and in the best interest of the Company.
