Position Summary: Lexington Market and Baltimore Public Markets seek a motivated and energetic Sales Manager at our Lexington Market location. This role involves collaborating with the Lexington Market Manager in developing and implementing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and driving revenue growth for our private event rental space. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong interpersonal skills who thrives in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities:

• Solicit for new and repeat business to include telephone solicitation and travel for outside sales calls.
• Meet and greet clients daily, conduct property tours and promote facilities and services. Maintain relationships with existing accounts and up sell the property in banquet food, banquet beverage and room rental.
• Prepare contracts and letters as well as organize all other arrangements as they relate to the clients needs and the needs of the business. Uncover and provide accurate details of the functions to all departments on a Banquet Event Order.
• Participate in monthly Manager on Duty Program and weekly sales meeting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a qualified sales/hospitality experience.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Prior experience in sales or retail.

Goal-oriented mindset with a passion for achieving targets.

Team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to move around the facility to conduct training sessions.

Capable of demonstrating physical security techniques.

Must be able to stand for extended periods.

Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year

Experience:
