MACHINE SALES REPRESENTATIVE
REPORTS TO: Sales Manager
GENERAL OBJECTIVE: Represent and promote the sale of assigned products which results
in satisfying customer needs and maximizing the Company's
investment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
PRODUCT SALES
Machine Sales Representatives will insure they know the prospects and the
prospects needs within their area of primary responsibility (APR).
Machine Sales Representatives will develop territory plan and call list. This list will include names, addresses and phone number of their prospects, and when the prospect plans to purchase the next piece of equipment.
Machine Sales Representatives will call on each prospect at least once every three
months, and report each call daily on their call report.
Machine Sales Representatives will educate each prospect that Forklift Services of Oregon is best equipped to handle their present and future material needs.
Machine Sales Representatives will sell the prospect products carried by Washington Liftruck for the maximum profit attainable while making the sale as is warranted by the Sales Dept. Management
Machine Sales Representatives will be responsible for developing credit information on the prospect and giving this information to the Credit Department.
Machine Sales Representatives will advise Management as to the activity in their APR, what units are needed, pending projects, change in status of prospects, Used Equipment needs and other information that is necessary to assist the sales representative in selling products.
Machine Sales Representatives will report competitive activity in their APR which includes but is not limited to, competitive sales, rentals and other significant activity.
Machine Sales Representatives will represent Washington Liftruck at various customer association meetings held in their APR throughout the year.
Machine Sales Representatives will be creative in their sales activities and
continually seek methods to increase sales at an acceptable profit level in their
APR.
OTHER DUTIES
Machine Sales Representatives will submit a yearly forecast for their APR in the 4th quarter to include anticipated units to be sold by customer by quarter.
Report economic trends in their APR that may affect machine sales
Turn in sales call activity report weekly.
Prepare monthly calendar, updated weekly.
Maintain a minimum of five customer contacts per day.
Work with Management on various advertising needs and ideas that may enhance machine sales.
Be available to assist and support other sales representatives when necessary.
Keep the Sales Department advised on competitive and customer financing methods and needs in order for Washington Liftruck to stay financially competitive.
Be prompt in having customers sign sales documents, such as rental and lease papers and UCC-1 forms.
At all times represent Washington Liftruck with high integrity, high moral standards and strong character.
OTHER DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES AS ASSIGNED.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $250,000.00 per year
