Job Description

The inside sales position will operate closely with account management and the carrier sales team to transition the new accounts to become regular customers. Have confidence in the service delivery with a top of class carrier sales team and assist divison to back you up. Our operations team is loaded with experience to backup your sales ability. We require someone to be a self starter that has a natural desire to get ahead. This position has a negotiated base pay with incentives based on sales performance.

Person must be motivated to land the next customer, with a hunter mentality.

Will be prospecting for new business most of the time utilizing telephone, email and networking.

Perform research daily about customer prospects using various internal and external sources.

Execute several hundred phone calls and emails weekly to potential and existing customers.

Need to communicate customer details to operations and do daily and weekly reporting on progress.

Special Skills

Good communication skills using phone and email to prospect for customers and interact with existing.

customers along with operations, accounting and management internally.

Service Oriented - responds quickly and accurately to requests from internal and external customers. Handle service issues with the customer as needed to maintain superior service levels.

Detail-oriented to relay customer information to other departments.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position applicants must possess the following:
A high school diploma, or equivalent; an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
2+ years in Transportation / Freight / Logistics / Brokerage Sales, prefer truckload sector but not necessary.
