Territory Sales Representative - Concord, North Carolina

We are seeking a Territory Sales Representative to help keep this engine running using their sales skills as well as being a self-driving sales representative. The ideal Territory Sales Representative will have knowledge and experience with the entire sales process, excels at lead generation, relationship building, and closing deals. We are seeking a quick learner with critical thinking skills, someone with a track record of success who can inspire the same within the team they work with. This role reports directly to the National Sales Manager and is located in our Concord, North Carolina office location.
Objectives of this role:
- Represent our products with a comprehensive understanding of its offerings
- Research customer needs and identify how our solutions address them
- Present the solutions to support revenue generation
- Achieve assigned company objectives by planning effectively, setting sales pipeline goals, analyzing performance data, and projecting future performance in your geographic market area
- Use effective sales tactics to meet or exceed revenue objectives
- Meet assigned targeted sales goals
- Coaching and training from National Sales Manager and other executives to be applied to assist in success
- Generate leads, and establish and nurture client relationships
- Ensure all leads and customer contact data is keyed into system
- Lead Center and Customer Center Quickbooks weekly at minimum
- Must be able to perform the following quickly and accurately in company software:
- Sales Orders
- Create Invoices
- Parcel Shipping
- Receive Inventory without Bill
- Quotes Estimates Return Authorization
- Item Search & Look up Inventory
- Purchase Orders- Direct
- Customer Creation
- Open Sales Order Reconciliation
- Quick Reports
- Sales Order Fulfillment
- Credit Memos
- Account Rec/Collections
Responsibilities:
- Co-Create sales decks/pitches/approaches for assigned territory with direction from the National Sales Manager
- Responsible for ensuring all sales data is updated in Lead Center and Customer Center Quickbooks weekly
- Prepare for monthly review summaries of Lead and Customer Center Data reports to be shared with National Sales Manager.
- Territory Sales Representative is a Facility based role
- Occasional travel to customers
- Responsible for performing inside sales responsibilities
- Perform territory sales calls and travel within geographical area with prior approval from National Sales Manager
- Build relationship with all customers in your territory
- Outreach to build relationships with potential new customers in your territory
- Prepare Market Share and Go to Market Strategy for your territory
- Understand the territories top key customers that drive growth and sales
- 80/20 rule
- Diagnosis strong MSA and Weak MSAs within your territory
- Estimate Market Potential with National Sales Manger rolling up of MSA population base
- Example: 600 mile radius customer potential
- Execute and deliver territory sales plan with National Sales Manager
- Prepare Quarterly business review on revenue generated for National Sales Manager
- Q2 & Q4 review - deep dive into the performance of the annual plan targets
- Ensure that company quotas and standards are met by holding check-ins with National Sales Manager to monitor progress
- Attend Annual National Sales Meeting
- Present your Territory Review to all attendees
- Continually engage and research industry events and partner with the National Sales Manager for any event you would like to attend
- Duties to support success as a Territory Sales Representative:
- Reporting process on sales progress
- Includes, Sales Reporting Templates, Sales Tool, Reporting, Gap Analysis
- Strength and Weakness of geographical area and employee performance etc.
- Participate in on the job learning, conferences, seminars as needed
- Understand and report on their operations/competitors product usage
- Update in Customer or Lead Center
- Obtaining new knowledge of your customers business and activities to assist in developing your sales goals pipeline and market knowledge
- Know your customers needs, wants and growth opportunities
- Establish, grow and nurture customer relationships
- Meet and and continued customer/new client relationship
- Understand major existing and potential clients
- Grow long-lasting relationships by understanding their needs
- Co-create sales communication within your territory to customers via
- Social Media(LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), Websites, Customer Group emails, New Product Release, Product Price Pages, Product Picture Pages, Displays, etc.
- Territory specific to advertise new product
- Mass communication to target audience with news, product and outreach
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and qualifications:
- Three or more years of successful sales experience within a corporate setting
- Proven record of success with hitting sales goals
- Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficient and accurate data collecting into a Customer Relationship Management System
- Strong critical thinking skills, to apply what is learned immediately
- Engagement to drive and grow within the role
- Ability to travel at least 5% of the time
Preferred qualifications:
- Proven success rate at levels at or above sales quota goals
