Join our team as a Sales Associate! As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers in making purchasing decisions, and contributing to the overall success of the retail store. This role involves direct interaction with customers, product knowledge, and meeting sales targets.

**Saturday required** off Sunday and 1/2 weekdays

$30,000 - $40,000 per year, plus uncapped commission

Typical Day

• Engages directly with customers to identify their specific appliance needs.

• Demonstrates a good understanding of the features, functionalities, and benefits of the appliances sold in the store.

• Helps customers in making informed purchase decisions based on their requirements and budget.

• Manages the sales process from product presentation to closing the sale.

• Provides basic after-sales support and assists with customer service issues.

• Participates in training sessions and product knowledge programs provided by the store.

• Monitors voicemail box.

Responsibilities

Customer Engagement: Engaging with customers to understand their appliance needs, preferences, and budgetary constraints, and providing them with expert advice and guidance in selecting the most suitable products.

Product Knowledge: Demonstrating in-depth knowledge of various appliances available in the store, including their features, functionalities, and technological specifications, to effectively communicate their benefits to customers.

Sales Process Management: Managing the entire sales process, including greeting customers, understanding their requirements, presenting product options, addressing concerns or objections, negotiating prices, and closing sales.

Customer Service: Providing exceptional customer service by ensuring a positive shopping experience, addressing customer inquiries and concerns, and offering post-sale assistance, including arranging for deliveries and installations as needed.

Up-selling and Cross-selling: Identifying opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling by recommending additional products, accessories, or extended warranties that complement the customers' main purchases.

Documentation and Transactions: Managing sales-related documentation, including processing sales transactions, preparing invoices, and maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and purchases.

Job Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required. Some companies may prefer candidates with a college degree in business, marketing, or a related field.

• Previous experience in a retail sales environment, preferably in the appliance or electronics industry, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

• Comprehensive knowledge of various appliance brands, models, and features, along with an understanding of current market trends and customer preferences.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Willingness to work collaboratively with the sales team and other departments.

• A customer-centric approach with a genuine interest in helping customers find the best appliance solutions to meet their specific requirements and budget.

• Self-motivated with a strong desire to pursue a career in sales.

• Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

• Familiarity with basic computer applications and tools.

• Positive and professional demeanor, demonstrating enthusiasm for the role and the industry.

Compensation Package

• 401K matching - up to 4% (Vanguard) after 90-day probation period
