Director of Sales & Marketing

The award-winning AAA 4-Diamond Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa is looking for a Hotel Director of Sales Marketing to join the Hotel Team!

Situated within the 3,600-acre Lake Las Vegas master-planned resort community, Hilton Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa is a Mediterranean-inspired resort just 20 miles from the Las Vegas strip, ideal retreat for guests who are looking for both the excitement and proximity to the Las Vegas strip and a tranquil place they can escape to and relax. It is an idea venue for upscale corporate and association meetings and conferences, as well as weddings and social events.

The Principle Responsibilities of the Position Lead the development and execution of Sales and Marketing strategic plans and initiatives that improve hotel name awareness in the market, drive and help maximize the hotel overall revenue and achieve budgeted hotel revenue, profitability, market share, and market share ranking targets.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Sales and Marketing

  • Direct the hotel in the development, implementation and achievement of their annual business plan and marketing plan objectives.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and assistance relating to the execution of marketing and sales functions, policies and standards as established by the Hilton brand.
  • Capitalize on sales programs and resources.
  • Actively participate in the sales process via customer meetings, entertainment and attendance at client and other relevant industry events.
  • Direct coordination of cross-selling, joint marketing initiatives and other hotel/brand synergies to maximize exposure and profitability including agency contact, media planning and hotel communications.
  • Direct the solicitation efforts of the sales staff through effective oral and written communication while providing strategic direction of rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales of the property.
  • Directs the preparation of reports pertaining to the operation of the Sales and Marketing Department to include but not limited to the annual, monthly, and weekly Forecast, Marketing Budget, Lead Management System, Booking Report, Delphi Reports, Sales Meetings and Marketing Meetings overview.
  • Direct the coordination of ongoing research of the travel industry local and national market to detect market trends and related information for development of new marketing strategies.
  • Direct the efforts to improve potential from various existing and new markets, including local corporate accounts, and other transient business.

Revenue Management

  • Provide strategic revenue management plans within the hotel to include rate development, establishment of group thresholds, space utilization policy, deployment strategies through the review of competitive data, demand analysis and market mix management. Preparation of forecasts and marketing input.
  • Provide oversight for the Catering Sales and Convention Services Strategies.
  • Participate in industry organizations.
  • Maintain an open line of communication between guests, Team Members, management & Las Vegas Community.
  • Working closely with RMCC revenue manager/director and Hotel General Manager to maximize revenue and on track on booking pace for both transient and group rooms, as well as Catering revenue targets.

Experience:

  • Hotel Director of Group Sales: 3+ years (Preferred)
  • Director of Sales & Marketing: 2+ years (Preferred)
