Graypoint LLC Account Manager
Position Overview:
Graypoint LLC is looking for an experienced, dynamic, and dedicated Account Manager to join their practice. The ideal candidate will bring their own book of business to Graypoint and is responsible for maintaining existing and cultivating new client relationships. The role requires the ability to manage a team, work under pressure, and take ownership of work in an entrepreneurial team environment. The ideal candidate would maintain a collaborative presence with their team and work to mentor less experienced members of the firm to help them develop. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.
Graypoint is a Registered Investment Advisory firm with locations in Albany and Saratoga Springs, NY with a rapidly expanding family office and high net worth investment advisory practice.
Responsibilities and Duties
Generate new account paperwork and follow account opening to completion
Cashiering as needed, including processing wires, EFTs, check requests, journals, and any transfer of funds or assets, including ACATs, DTC, LOIs both incoming and outgoing, and verifying cost basis and tax-lot details
Frequent client contact, both by email and phone
Trading equities and fixed income
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports, including performance reviews and net worth statements, printing and binding of client facing materials
Prepare proposed asset allocations and other marketing material
Analyze current portfolios compared to targets and make recommendations/execute changes to portfolios
Demonstrate initiative, particularly in meeting client requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelors degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher in accounting, finance, or economics
- Additional credentials needed: At least one of the following: CPA, CFP, CFA, Attorney
- Understanding of investment asset allocation and Modern Portfolio Theory.
- Understanding of advanced Estate Planning techniques
- Knowledge of Income tax planning and compliance.
- Knowledge of Retirement Planning
- Knowledge of Employee Benefit Plans
- Knowledge of Life Insurance and Life Insurance Planning Techniques
- Knowledge of Property and Casualty Insurance, Disability Insurance, and Long-Term Care Insurance.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Enthusiastic and positive approach to problem-solving and client service
Required:
Must have accessibility to work from home in certain situations.
This is an Exempt position.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
