Job Purpose:

This is a specialized Sales Engineering / Project Manager / Industrial Sales position, working in customers facilities, and in an office environment. Main job consists of reviewing customer requirements for crane and hoist applications, and designing/proposing equipment and solutions. This is a sales position that includes an engineering aspect. You will get dirty. You must have either a strong mechanical aptitude and/or electrical knowledge. Sales calls, phone calls, travel (mostly automobile travel) with some out of town nights per month are required, to see customers seeking to purchase specialized crane and hoist parts or equipment, and receive training.

We have a great team and are looking for a motivated person. A great attitude and work ethic will offset lack of product knowledge. Living close to our office is a plus. Drug testing will be enforced. Clean and organized office.

Duties:

• Prepares for customer inquiries by learning products, services, and customer service processes. Also providing some back-up for our service and parts departments including scheduling and obtaining parts.
• Responds to customer inquiries by understanding the inquiry, reviewing previous inquiries and responses, gathering and researching information, assembling and forwarding information, and verifying customer's understanding of information and answers. Parts quotes to customers with a high level of empathy for customer specific needs.
• Records customer inquiries by documenting inquiry and response in customers' accounts. This includes data entry into the accounting system, recording sales and purchases.
• Improves quality service by recommending improved processes, and identifying new product and service applications.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Must be able to be a self-starter, and learn with experience.
• Accomplishes customer service and organization mission by completing related results as needed. This includes all aspects of a small office environment.
• Skills/Qualifications:

Completed college in engineering. Product knowledge (will teach correct employee with desire to learn), mechanical aptitude is needed, informing others, data entry skills computer skills mandatory (Word, Excel, Adobe, Sage 50, AutoCAD, and Outlook), typing skills needed, basic office equipment, calculator, organization, analyzing information, verbal communication, reporting skills, managing processes, customer focus, general consulting skills, and multi-tasking.

Pay will be based on applicant skills and/or existing product knowledge. We provide a good health care package, 401K with profit sharing component after one year, expense account for all business related items, and paid automotive mileage for business. This job can be very rewarding financially (commissions), however it will take a devoted and motivated person to make this a career.
