SUMMARY
Under the direction of the CEO, the Senior Sales Executive focuses on driving sales within the guidelines of designated prospects with specific revenue value. This position calls on prospective customers, initiates contact, and responds to RFPs. Creates & presents sales presentations. This position also serves as a contact for customers to voice concerns regarding billing, route and/or service issues. The primary focus is to source and close new business opportunities within the healthcare and e-commerce industries, utilizing PDI methodology and tools. Continually cultivate belief and pride in the Mission, Vision, and Value Proposition of the Company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a customer base within a specified territory or vertical
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and objectives
Identify and target new business opportunities in the market
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction
Prepare and deliver sales presentations to key stakeholders
Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with customers
Provide ongoing support and assistance to customers throughout the sales process
Responds timely to RFPs and RFQs
Meets or exceeds sales quotas as determined by the CEO
Ensures customer satisfaction through direct communication and solicitation of feedback
25% + travel; prospects and or customer sites, trade shows, or conventions
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 8 years of sales experience
- 2-3 years transportation experience preferred
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and CRM tools
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under time constraints
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with peers and upper management
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Superior customer service skills
- Advanced skills in business development and acquiring new business
- Ability to identify emerging markets
- 25% - 30% travel
