Local Roofing/Facility Service Mgmt. Company seeks an experienced Construction Project Estimator to help start up a business and make great pay & enter into bonus programs.

Job Description

The project estimator/inside sales manager serves a vital function in the growth of our company. This professional is responsible for accurately calculating the total costs associated with a construction project or the development of a new product. The cost estimator's conclusions will help the company assess the feasibility of moving forward with the proposed project.

Specifically, a project estimator will take into consideration all relevant factors in the plan such as materials, labor and equipment, as well as related expenses including insurance, taxes and incidental costs due to delays. A project estimator may also review bids offered by subcontractors in order to choose the most cost effective option.

Job Duties

Construction Project Estimator

A cost estimator for a local Roofing/ Facility Management Company assesses the potential development site for its appropriateness for the building, checking for variables like plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and roofing, etc. The next step is to determine the order of operations for expediency and identify the kinds and amounts of materials required.

All of these duties entail visits to potential construction sites, supply warehouses and service-oriented businesses. Visits with the Owners/Owners Reps/and or General Contractors in the beginning, during, and end of all projects. The project estimator takes measurements, records data and estimates the quantity of materials needed, and finally, using mathematical formulas, determines the final cost of development. Must also maintain change orders, and consistent verbal and written communication between the customer and with internal team.

Must be computer literate. Must have basic understanding of Microsoft programs including word, excel, and Outlook.

Must be able to read blue prints, specs, and knowledge in construction background.

Knowledge in CAD is a Plus

Knowledge in The EDGE Estimating Software a Plus

Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm. Some Saturdays required to complete projects in a timely fashion and keep backlog filled.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,178.43 - $58,021.33 per year
