Growing optometry practice seeking an experienced Optical Sales Associate to join our Team! Excellent hours conducive to work/life balance. Schedule will be Monday - Friday 8-5:30

Candidates considered with at least two years of prior optical experience. Looking for a full-time candidate, but will consider a part-time schedule for the right person! Prior optical experience is required, and experience with billing and spectacle ordering is a must. Candidate must have sales experience, great customer service skills, and be a team player.

Position: Opticial Sales Associate

Responsibilities. The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Eyewear sales
• Contact lens sales
• Ensure accurate patient information is obtained
• Ensure that correct products are created per specifications per order
• Ability to make recommendations based on prescription, and latest fashion trends and patients needs
• Compliance with Insight Eyecare & Opticals policies and procedures
• Compliance with HIPAA guidelines
• Performs eyewear maintenance as needed
• Assist in cleaning and maintenance of the retail space to keep it organized and inviting for our customers
• Assist in maintaining inventory
• Assist in the store opening and closing processes
• Build sustainable relationships of trust through open and interactive communication
• Dispense, adjust and repair glasses to ensure the customer is completely satisfied with the way the look and feel
• Assist and educate customers with eyeglasses and lens selections

Supporting Duties as Needed

• Scheduling appointments
• Answering phones
• Preparing and verifying job orders

Essential Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Knowledge of current ophthalmic products and optical measurements required.
• Basic ocular anatomy
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, bilingual in Spanish will be a plus.
• Passion for fashion and style, and helping customers find frames that fit their personality
• Two or more years of optical/eye care experience
• Organized and detail oriented
• All technical duties of an Optician
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.58 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
