Job Summary:
Astro Metal Craft is looking for a highly motivated Sales Representative/Project Manager to join our team! Astro Metal Craft, located in Hanover, MN is a custom fabrication shop with a unique skill set to build a variety of specialized products to serve our customers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, lead and facilitate those activities to secure business
Manage existing sales pipeline and develop new business opportunities.
Assume lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
Identify trends and customer needs, while building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with sales targets;
Develop strategies and positions by analyzing new venture integration.
Assist in the coordination and implementation of marketing strategies and tasks that achieve targeted goals
Monitor and evaluate industry trends, customer drivers and meet regularly with Manager to discuss strategy;
- Develops and maintains professional relationships with customers through regular sales visits, teams meetings, follow up via phone calls and/or email
- Forward new RFQ opportunities to our Estimating Department for creation of the Quote and entry into ERP system that you will review and send to the customer. Follow up on quotations and track towards our goals
Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals;
- Enter Purchase Orders in ERP system and hand off Job Folder to Sales Manager for assignment to a PM
Executing the project management role requiring critical thinking, analyze the data and information given to make decisions in the planning stage then carry that knowledge throughout the project as conditions change.
Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks and develop contingency plans as needed during project completion
- Help create sketches or anything associated with information needed for hand off to the production team
- Manage costs, budget and manufacturing timeline to meet and exceed customer expectations
Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events and presentation at Astro and outside of Astro.
Required skills and experience:
- High School diploma / Bachelors preferred
- Excellent customer-facing and internal communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
- Proven track record in sales/project management
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of manufacturing process and related production scheduling requirements
- Advanced computer and technology skills
- Organized and Detail Oriented
- Understanding of quality management systems.
- Background and knowledge in welding and fabrication
