Full description of the position

The ideal candidate will develop partnerships with current and potential accounts, contract self-contained group and catering business by identifying potential clients, responding to leads and actively soliciting future group and catering business. Your proactive efforts will generate room revenue, catering revenue and increase market share. The individual will maximize the hotel's revenues by conducting daily sales strategies, analyzing data to develop revenue generating activities and leveraging brand resources to drive topline revenues. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player, and a driven professional to accomplish assigned goals. Responding to leads, soliciting potential clients, and booking group/catering revenues for the hotel.

Create new relationships with clients in the Corporate self-contained Group, Catering and Leisure SMERF.

Collaborate and foster a culture of inclusion within the sales team.

Proactively conduct outside sales calls, conduct sales tours and entertain clients.

Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure the ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies.

Knowledge of Hilton Hotels Brand and Delphi FDC systems a plus.

Identify creative ways to increase business for the hotel and its facilities.

Prepare and negotiate company contracts for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions.

Interact with in-house guests and solicit future business to generate leads.

Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market.

Comply with attainment of individual goals as well as team goals and budgeted metrics.

Be able to communicate in a clear, concise, and detailed manner with internal teams and departments throughout the hotel.

Maintain good relationships with existing clients, generating repeat business and growing base business to meet or exceed assigned revenue goals.

Ensure customer needs are met in compliance with Hilton brand standards and company expectations by providing outstanding customer service when dealing with potential new customers or leads.

A self-starter with an outgoing personality who enjoys interacting with new and established clients.

Highschool diploma, College or University degree or 2 years of hotel Sales or Catering is preferred.

Prior experience with Hilton Brand is preferred.

Experience in hotel sales or catering environment for 2 years.

Must be able to drive and possess a valid state issued drivers license.

Has excellent written and oral communication skills and telephone etiquette.

This person must present and carry themselves in a professional manner and display professional appearance.

Individual must be able to handle the stress of multiple tasks; must be able to organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a timely manner.

Individuals must be punctual and able to work flexible hours, including weekends, as needed. Normal business days/hours are Monday to Friday 8 AM-5 PM.

Intermediate to advanced computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, Outlook and Excel are required.

Knowledge of Delphi FDC is preferred.
