Position Overview
The Organizational Change Management Specialist ensures success for projects within the organization by creating a smooth transition for the employee experience thereby increasing employee adoption and usage and minimizing interruption to business. This role plans for and fosters the success of the people side of changes that come with projects. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing, supporting and equipping people to efficiently adopt change through strategies and plans that maximize adoption and usage of the required changes while minimizing resistant behaviors.
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
- Lead change management activities through the implementation of processes and tools that support adoption of changes required by a project.
- Support communication of projects through the creation and delivery of change management communications.
- Analyze the impact of changes and assess change readiness.
- Identify, analyze, and prepare risk mitigation strategies.
- Anticipate, plan for, analyze and manage resistance to change.
- Support and engage stakeholders, leadership, and project managers.
- Collaborate with team to support changes to organizational design through definition of roles.
- Ensure change management tasks are integrated into the main project plan.
- Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress.
- Manage the change portfolio. This includes but is not limited to identifying issues that arise as a result of implementing various (sometimes simultaneous) changes within the organization.
- Develop tools for use by the organization to help manage change for smaller projects.
- May be asked to perform additional duties as necessary.
- Bachelors degree from a four-year accredited college or university in Business, Human Resources Management or related field.
- 5 years experience in Human Resources or 3 years experience in Organizational Change Management required. Experience in Organizational Change Management preferred.
- Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management and across a variety of functional areas.
- Ability to apply business acumen to identify issues and innovative solutions to support business objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal).
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
