Full description of the position

Job Description: Crystal Instruments is seeking a Sales Engineer responsible for actively driving and managing the technology evaluation stage of the sales process. It is the sales engineers responsibility to work with the sales team to carry out duties involving customer facing interactions to offer and sale of the companies products.

The sales engineer will be familiar with all technical aspects of CIs product and services.

This ensures a high level of customer satisfaction, as the sales engineer will be prepared for any / all technical issues that may come about. This is a position is for someone with both technical knowledge and sales skills.

This role requires a mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or physics background and expertise combined with organized, outstanding presentation and communication skills. This position is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conducting in-depth product demonstrations of products/services
• Present the product and all features to customers at events such as conferences, seminars, and (webinars any web-based video conferencing platform)
• Prepare quotes and proposals
• Troubleshoot customer problems
• Communicate customer requirements to product management teams
• Assist in technical writing of manuals and marketing materials
• Develop application examples using Crystal Instruments products

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or similar
• Good understanding of mechanics and vibration
• Experience with data acquisition systems used for testing, control, and measurement.
• Strong technical writing skills
• Excellent communications skills in a customer-focused environment
• Knowledge in machine condition monitoring/ predictive maintenance is a plus
• Must have US Citizenship
• Must be friendly, social, presentable, and professional
