KAT Wholesale the location in North Kansas City, Missouri is in search for a full-time onsite Yard Sales Crew Member to join their team! As a Yard Sales Crew Member, you will be at the forefront of our customer interactions proactively driving sales growth. Serving our customers by making recommendations of plant material, conduct tours, utilizing equipment to load product, and overall provide enthusiastic customer care to all customers' needs.

Hourly Rate: $15.00-$16.00

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Now Orders Manages day to day transactions of customers
• Be a Customer Resource Demonstrate knowledge of the landscape/nursery industry and customer needs
• Manage Assigned Accounts Build constructive working relationships through a high level of cooperation and interaction while seeking ways to improve service delivery
• Execute Assigned Tasks Follows direction in an accurate and timely manner

Essential Job Duties:

• Manage and conduct the daily loading and proper handling of plant material for customers
• Daily processing of invoices
• Assist customers with landscaping ideas and plant selection
• Merchandize sales area
• Communicate policy to customers
• Help customers with questions regarding availability and location of products
• Answer customer questions about plants, hardscapes and products

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Promote and manage a safe work environment while following direction from the safety committee
• Promote and foster KAT Wholesale core values
• Work as part of the sales team
• Care for assigned equipment

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Attention to detail including accuracy of customer orders
• Ability to effectively communicate information in written and verbal format
• Communicate with customers and discuss products and services offered
• Solve problems and react to customer needs
• Prioritization skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Basic Operator Tractor/Loader skills are desired

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required: 1+ years working in a customer service environment
• Highly Preferred: 2 years in the plant industry or related fields, landscaping, garden centers, and/or nurseries
• Highly Preferred: Bilingual (English & Spanish)
