We are seeking an Associate Sales Director for our West Coast stores (estimated to have oversight for 10+ stores). The Associate Sales Director will have two direct reports as District or Territory Managers. This person will report directly to the VP of Sales. You must live within 50 miles of Ventura, California area (zip 93003) in order to support this region.


The Associate Sales Director is responsible for creating the overall vision for their district store leaders, establishing benchmarks and implementing policies and programs that will help our sales teams achieve sales goals. The Associate Sales Director will also collaborate with corporate and operations teams to help their market meet and exceed P&L metrics and goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Recruits, leads, coaches, guides, mentors, develops, and manages a team of District/Territory Managers
  • Supports district/territory managers in recruiting, leading, coaching, guiding, mentoring, developing their direct reporting Store management teams
  • Inspires and motivates the teams to achieve assigned sales and reporting targets; meets or exceeds established KPIs
  • Demonstrates a player-coach approach to work, leading by example with sales & training for top performance in your market
  • Fosters professional and productive relationships with in-store management and associates
  • Represents the model of professionalism, work ethic, and determination of Verge
  • Communicate all strategies to direct reports and store teams
  • Achieve all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Responsible for maintaining relationships with Verge retail sales representatives and retail store leadership teams
  • Responsible for the performance management of team including rewards, recognition, and accountability
  • Responsible for reporting in-field findings and making recommendations around process improvements
  • Responsible for the communication and execution of all sales program strategies within a specified territory
  • Build a team of District & Retail Store Managers with excellent skills to deliver the exceptional customer experience
  • Responsible for P & L analysis and cross market performance gaps and opportunity areas
  • Translate strategies into measurable expectations for mangers and team
  • Attain and exceed market area goals by coaching and developing District & Store Managers in execution of goals and metrics
  • Responsible for region, district P&L and cross-market performance gaps and opportunity areas
  • Ensures complete and timely communication of company objectives, policies, and initiatives throughout the District.
  • Demonstrates and lead District/Territory Managers & Store Managers to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity through continually improving; time management, communication, leadership development, selling skills, sales analysis, problem solving skills
  • Responsible for market daily operations, upcoming regional, district, store events and promotions
  • Manage performance "scorecards," tracking areas; operational compliance, team dynamics, store appearance/safety, customer satisfaction, and improvement areas
  • Manage district performance, identity and improve performance, operation, compliance gaps
  • Responsible for audit-compliance according to standards
  • Ensures effective and efficient store operations
  • Adhere and promote Verge Mobile policies, processes and procedures
  • Must be available to meet the needs of retail business hours
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma and 7 years in a retail wireless leadership role (area, district, region), minimum
  • Bachelors degree and 3+ years in a retail leadership role (area, district, region), preferred
  • Experience in Wireless sales is a must
  • Professional in dress, speech, and correspondence
  • MUST be self-motivated, goal oriented, and persuasive
  • Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • General knowledge of Windows based operating system and Microsoft applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Multi unit store management experience
  • Strong track record of individual and team financial performance
  • Operational and financial management experience
  • Able to oversee varied shifts, may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Able to successfully complete and pass a background check
  • Valid drivers license with a satisfactory driving record and willingness to travel throughout assigned region
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

Reporting: Position reports to the Vice President of Sales

Compensation: Salary offered is dependent upon qualifications and other operational considerations.

Travel/Schedule: Must reliably commute to store locations with personal vehicle. This is not a work from home position. Must work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays during peak hours of performance to ensure daily oversight.
