We are seeking a highly motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our dynamic sales team. As a Sales Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical resource for our sales representatives. Your role will involve engaging with customers, understanding their needs, estimating project costs, preparing quotations, and collaborating closely with design engineers to ensure seamless integration of our products into customer operations.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical lead and primary point of contact for sales representatives.
• Engage with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Participate in sales meetings, trade shows, and other marketing events as required.
• Interact with the customers to interpret their needs and requirements.
• Collaborate with design engineers to develop customized solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Design initial concept product models using Solidworks CAD.
• Present prototypes and designs to customers.
• Prepare accurate and timely project estimates and quotations.
• Communicate effectively with engineering and production floor to provide assistance/technical support.
• Review engineering deliverables and coordinate corrective actions.
• Track and report on individual job/project progress.
• Provide professional after-sales support to maximize customer loyalty.
• Resolve conflicts and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
• Remain knowledgeable on company products and options.

Requirements

• Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand complex engineering concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and internal teams.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and specifications.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Decision making ability and leadership skills.
• Ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time and budget.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in technical sales, engineering, project management, product design role.
• Minimum 2-3 years of CAD experience.
• Experience working with material handling equipment, carts, racks, automation machinery, or lifting devices is highly desirable.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field is required.
• Or 2-year technical degree with creative design ability and material handling design experience.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
