Global Trade Links, a rapidly growing wholesale distributor with a go-to market product of Control Instruments ( Pressure / Temperature / Level / Flow) and other industrial products, is looking to grow our Sales Team. Were seeking an A-Player who excels at relationship management, takes initiative to develop new business, prospect accounts, grow existing accounts and follow up on sales leads, while supplying first class customer service to internal and external customers. Knowledge of Control Instruments in the Oil & Gas industry preferred.
An ideal candidate will be anchored in the Greater Philadelphia area but is expected to grow the surrounding market including PA, NJ, MD & DE. Successful sales professionals in this role should expect to spend most of the time prospecting and closing new business which will involve some overnight travel.
As an individual contributor focused on outside sales, the Sales Engineer will learn the value proposition of the products and services offered by GTL and successfully apply this knowledge to target opportunities for business development. This role will build market position by qualifying new opportunities, locating decision makers, and developing, defining, negotiating, and closing new business relationships. From prospecting phase, through pricing strategies and long-term planning, the Sales Manager will sell long standing, mutually beneficial partnerships with our clients. The Sales Engineer will actively listen to our customers and build relationships to fully understand their needs, products, replenishment requirements, purchasing systems, and response times. He/she will then work with GTL teams to create flexible, creative, and value-added solutions to solve supply and production challenges.
Travel : 80% ( 4 days per week )
Requirements:
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities as demonstrated with 5+ years of successful prospecting/outside sales experience, balanced with account and relationship management skills
- Industrial manufacturing or distribution experience Control Instruments experience a plus
- Prospects potential customers, including cold calling and developing leads through referral channels.
- Familiar with long sales cycles, grounded in relationship building
- Excellent interpersonal skills with both customers and colleagues
- Ability to use a CRM tool to manage customer accounts Salesforce experience a plus
- Ability to promote online sales with digital marketing using email campaigns and social media marketing.
- Must travel to meet with customers within assigned territory, most within driving distance of regional office. Some overnight travel required.
- Preferred 4-year college degree, preferably in Engineering + Business or Communications
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
