OUTSIDE SALES MANAGER
LKD Aerospace LLC (LKD or the Company) is seeking an innovative, driven, and highly motivated candidate for an Outside Sales Manager. Reporting to the Chief Business Development Officer, this position will be an integral member of the team executing LKDs fulfillment strategy and obligations to deliver sales value to our principals. Responsible for managing all aspects of outside sales including developing and maintaining senior level relationships with customers to broaden awareness, understand current and emerging needs, and position LKD as a solution leader. Our customer base includes OEMs, government and the aftermarket ranging from airlines, MROs, and brokers. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in a small team environment, collaborating with the Company's senior management and have strong attention to detail and self-organization.
OUR OUTSIDE SALES MANAGER WILL:
- Promote, develop pipeline, and sell products from LKDs principals as assigned.
- Identify and grow the business through outside sales activities and retention of current customer accounts.
- Meet with technical experts in customer organizations and recommend products that will fit their unique needs.
- Grow key account customers through accelerated strategies born from business development initiatives.
- Negotiate and secure agreements with customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Conduct outside sales activities to generate new business and meet sales targets.
- Utilize all available resources to reach out to prospects and attempt to turn those prospects into customers.
- Possess extensive knowledge of target markets including aerospace, defense, space, marine, energy and other target markets based on our product offering.
- Stay on top of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for company growth.
- Assemble and conduct presentations to customers.
- Identify and act on industry growth trends and opportunities.
- Fully engage in the LKD sales and marketing operating system, status updates, planning and improvement
- Work closely with the Manager Business Development for new principal opportunities
- Keeps informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest for customers.
- Collaborate with the management team to improve marketing materials and expand the companys marketing presence.
- Keep Customer Contact database up to date with current opportunities, chase plans, and proposals.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network and generate new leads.
- Ensure LKDs consistent, high level of customer service and satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3 to 5 years of solid, outside sales experience and accountability.
- Proven experience in technical product sales to a range of aerospace and related industry verticals including commercial aviation, defense and security, space, marine and energy.
- Solid track record of performance and reliability managing accounts and products.
- Experience executing new business marketing campaigns.
- Experience presenting one-on-one and to groups, in person and virtual.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Highly motivated self-starter who is organized, analytical, and passionate about sales growth and providing excellent customer service.
- Experience with sales rep and distributor contracts
- Ability to communicate company and technical information in an engaging manner, written and verbal
- Excellent attention to detail and quality
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
- Ability to learn new products, new industry verticals and assume new responsibilities quickly.
- Experience with CRM system management
- Highly skilled in nurturing customer relationships and resolving customer issues
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment and have a strong desire to do what is right for the customer, the company, and fellow employees.
TRAVEL: This position requires 30-50% out-of-the-area and overnight travel, including some international travel as required
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: The physical demands and work environment described below represent the activities and surroundings of the positions.
The work is typically performed in an office environment, with a moderate noise level. Frequent presence in the manufacturing and test area is required, where the noise level is moderate to loud with the dust, vibration, and potential chemical exposure that is typical for a small component production environment.
To perform the job, the employee is frequently required to talk and hear on the telephone/TEAMS and in person with individuals and groups. The incumbent is required to read and respond to documents in hard copy and electronic form. The incumbent may need to carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs. and need to bend, kneel, stretch, and stand during shift.
Because this position requires potential access to technology controlled under the International Traffic in
Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the successful candidate must be a "U.S. person" as defined in the ITAR and EAR. In order to be a U.S. person for ITAR and EAR purposes, you must: (i) be a citizen or national of the United States; or (ii) be a lawful permanent resident
(i.e., "green card holder") of the United States; or (iii) have been admitted to the United States as a refugee, or have been granted asylum, provided that you have applied for naturalization within six months
of the date you first became eligible, and if not yet accepted, you are actively pursuing naturalization after two years from the date of your application.
