Job Title: Portfolio Manager - Railcar Leasing

Job Summary:

As a Portfolio Manager in the railcar leasing industry, you will play a key role in managing and optimizing our railcar portfolio. You will be responsible for overseeing a diverse portfolio of rail assets, ensuring efficient utilization, maximizing returns, and mitigating risks. Your expertise in portfolio management, railcar leasing, and financial analysis will be essential in achieving these objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Portfolio Oversight:
• Manage a portfolio of railcars, including tracking utilization rates, maintenance schedules, and lease agreements.
• Monitor market conditions and industry trends to make informed decisions regarding portfolio composition and strategy.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize portfolio performance, including lease renewals, repositioning, and asset disposition.
• Financial Analysis:
• Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow modeling and ROI calculations, to assess the profitability and performance of railcar leases.
• Prepare regular financial reports and performance summaries for senior management and stakeholders.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and assess potential risks associated with the portfolio, such as credit risk, maintenance costs, and market volatility.
• Implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Client Relations:
• Collaborate with clients, lessees, and other stakeholders to address their needs and concerns.
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to execute portfolio strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
• Proven experience in railcar leasing or a similar asset-based finance industry.
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of railcar types, industry regulations, and market dynamics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools, such as Excel, financial modeling software, and lease management systems.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
