Full description of the position

The Team

You will be joining a highly engaged team of professionals who are passionate about delivering for our clients and for the broader business. Our BU is tightly-knit and extremely client-focused. The Investor Relations & ESG sales team is collaborative and works together to be successful. We invest a great deal in our teams to ensure your career continues to progress as you see increasing sales success.

You are an experienced and talented sales professional who is very curious, passionate and excited to bring great ideas to senior executives that will help improve their business. You are passionate about the Capital Markets/ESG and what the future holds. You are excited to direct outbound selling activity in your geographic territory, and work with a broad swath of publicly-traded companies from all industries. You want to learn how to continue to build your career as a sales professional and are focused on delivering results for the broader Nasdaq team. You are organized, a self-starter, and capable of leveraging Nasdaq's extensive resources to lead your Opportunities to closure - you have experience working with BDRs. You are exceptionally focused on the success of your clients and have deep relationships. Business Unit

The Corporate Platforms business unit is committed to delivering the premier capital markets and governance solutions across a company's lifecycle to drive their valuation and elevate their global brand. You will represent our market-leading Investor Relations and ESG solutions, which have seen exciting growth and are at the core of how we help public issuers in a competitive market.
As Account Sales Director, you are responsible for driving new sales in this assigned geographic territory. You will represent our entire IR Intelligence and ESG solution portfolio, including Advisory and SaaS solutions, and get the opportunity to work with some of the most exciting and innovative public issuers. You are comfortable adding value to C-level executives and Capital Markets teams. This is a quota-carrying role and you will work within a broader team (Relationship Managers, SMEs, CSMs, BDRs) to surface, contract and close business. You will be able to market to new logos and drive cross-and upsell sales opportunities within our leading franchise.

You will need the following skills and experience

  • 7+ year track record of exceeding quota selling strategic B2B solutions such as Advisory/Consulting and SaaS
  • Demonstrated ability to design and execute marketing and sales engagement plans
  • Proven track record of building satisfied, loyal and referenceable executive clients (CFO, IR, Corporate Secretary, Head of Sustainability, General Counsel)
  • Proven success working within a matrixed organization and establishing strong relationships across all functions
  • Strong operational and analytical abilities, and the ability to drive change in clients to anticipate trends
  • Strong business acumen
  • Capital markets / ESG knowledge
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
And it would be great if you have experience with
  • SAAS and Services/Consulting sales experience
  • Experience selling and servicing public companies
  • Experience with [please apply online] Microsoft Excel, and professional market data (i.e: IR Insight, FactSet, Bloomberg, Capital IQ)
  • Institutional investor engagement and Buy/Sell-side domain knowledge
  • Multiple sales methodology training
  • Experience managing/directing SDR/RDR in previous role
  • ESG domain knowledge/selling experience
  • Investor Relations domain knowledge/selling experience
  • Travel territory and local market knowledge
  • Education Required: Bachelors degree in business, finance, or marketing/sales
  • Experience Required: At least 7 years

The base pay range for this role is $98,100 - $163,500. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
