Tesla is looking for an Inside Tesla (Sales) Advisor to help us fulfill our mission of accelerating the world's transition to sustainable energy while creating lifelong customers.
The core responsibility of this role is engaging with customers in a consultative approach to influence the purchase of a Tesla product and provide support throughout the complete sales and delivery process. Activities can range from responding to inbound leads, to scheduling test drives, to coordinating delivery, to responding to new needs of the business.
Candidates must be energetic, highly organized, and hard-working team players who are receptive to ongoing coaching. Qualified candidates may have a background in sales or customer service and can thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
- Provide the highest level of verbal and written customer service in a timely and professional manner through phone, SMS, email, and chat.
- Use top tier organization and time management skills to maintain a high-volume pipeline while achieving both personal and group monthly metrics.
- Receive inbound leads to assess the customer's needs, qualify the opportunity, and schedule the test drive experience or a phone consultation with our sales team.
- Utilize an effective contact process to follow-up, cultivate, and close leads.
- Maximize and leverage phone time, including pre-call planning, and adhere to activity metrics.
- Assist clients in preparation for delivery post-order and maintain their enthusiasm to join the brand.
- Proactively work cross functionally with field partners, delivery, finance, lease returns, and marketing teams to ensure an outstanding customer experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
- Act as the main point of contact for current Tesla owners navigating their lease end or trade-in journey to execute on all options including and beyond a new Tesla purchase.
- Assist with any high touch and owner focused campaigns as requested by Tesla headquarters.
- Collaborate with fellow team members and departments to resolve complex issues and suggest improvements to better serve our customers.
- Keep up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
- Utilize de-escalation tactics to ensure customer satisfaction and escalate matters that require management attention in a timely manner.
- Accurately record customer interactions and data.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.
- This is a full-time, in-office position
- Experience in sales or customer-facing roles
- Being able to speak persuasively and confidently
- Positive and energetic with professional and excellent customer service skills
- Able to present technical information in a way that is clear and accessible to a wide range of audiences.
- Excellent listening, reading, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize effectively and handling shifting priorities while meeting deadlines
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to work evening hours, weekends, and holidays in an office environment
- Proficient with standard corporate productivity tools (Microsoft Outlook and Office, internet navigation)
- Valid US Drivers License and/or State ID must be obtained before hire date and ability to obtain DMV Salespersons License required.
- This role requires you to possess a Motor Vehicle Salesperson License issued by Nevada State Department of Motor Vehicles. Without the salesperson license, you cannot engage in sales activities. To check if you are eligible for the salesperson license, please contact the licensing office nearest you in the state of employment.
