JOB TITLE: Admissions Representative
The award-winning Institute of Culinary Education (ICE) is seeking an Admissions Representative that will take pride in the personal attention that ICE strives for with each prospective student, helping turn their culinary passions into a rewarding and successful career. The Admissions Representative will join an enterprise-level Admissions Department that serves as the first impression for more than 22,000 people that inquire about attending ICE annually. Overall, the position serves as a steward for the next generation of ICE alumni who will make their mark on the culinary world.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Establish a key, initial relationship with prospective students that provides the foundation for enrollment.
- Manage a healthy pipeline of prospective students spanning the globe, in pursuit of enrollment.
- Execute personalized, quality sales communications by making and receiving phone calls, email, mail, and personal visits to ICE.
- Follow-up with prospective students to set appointments, tour the school, sit-in on a class(s), facilitate housing needs and/or financial aid requirements.
- Process enrollment paperwork for students according to School and Department policy and procedures.
- Provide information about School, tours of the facility, and liaise with the Office of Financial Aid.
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings, development exercises and training activities.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of two (2) years inside sales experience required in a fast-paced, team environment is preferred. Bachelors degree a plus.
- Proven track record of tangible results, consistent performance and meeting/exceeding goals. Thrives in a goal oriented, competitive, sales team environment.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal, strong interpersonal skills with an attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.
- Flexible schedule, able to work some evenings and at least one weekend-day to accommodate rotating shift schedule
- Admissions experience a plus.
- Culinary industry experience a plus.
